The first of two planned PARIPRE project\u2019s workshops took place on October 6th, 2021 at Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portoro\u017e, Slovenia, as a part of the 11th International Scientific and Professional Conference \u201cA Child in Motion,\u201d organised by the Science and Research Centre Koper. The workshop was streamed via Zoom to allow online participation for those who were unable to join the workshop in person.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The programme started with opening remarks from Rado Pi\u0161ot and Bo\u0161tjan \u0160imuni\u010d from Science and Research Centre Koper, organisers of the workshop. This was followed by remarks from Vesna Marinko from Slovenian Ministry of Health, who underlined the importance of the topic of physical activity-related injuries prevention in adolescence. Then project presentation was presented by Peter Bakal\u00e1r from University of Pre\u0161ov. This was followed by the lecture of Jari Parkkari from UKK Institute called \u201eSport Injury Prevention Strategies and Measures. Preparation of PARIPRE Recommendations – Part 1\u201d. Afterwards, Mari Lepp\u00e4nen from UKK Institute presented within her presentation \u201eSport Injury Prevention Strategies and Measures. Preparation of PARIPRE Recommendations – Part 2\u201d proposal of the \u201cRecommendations for the prevention of physical activity-related injuries in adolescents\u201d. Those were discussed with various stakeholders. Their comments were considered while finalising the final text of the recommendations following the workshop. Overall, 79 participants (students, trainers, teachers, athletes, professors, governmental body representatives) from 7 countries and 41 organisations including Science and Research Centre Koper (Slovenia), University of Pre\u0161ov (Slovakia), University of Pavol Jozef \u0160af\u00e1rik<\/span> in Ko\u0161ice (Slovakia), Sports Union Slovenia (Slovenia), Mother and Child Foundation (Poland), Slovenian National Institute of Health, UKK Institute (Finland), Palack\u00fd University in Olomouc (Czechia), Slovenian Olympic Committee, Slovenian Ministry of Health (online), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), University of Zagreb (Croatia), University of Primorska (Slovenia) and many others were present onsite or online at the workshop<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n
